Solent TV ceases broadcasting

Solent TV will stop broadcasting as the company ceases trading. The UK's first not-for-profit local television station launched on Sky EPG 219 in January 2007. Financial problems four months later mean company directors have decided to shut down the TV station despite talks with potential investors. All employees are being made redundant.
