Rapture TV "disappointed" at EPG removal

Broadcasters are charged to appear on Sky's EPGRapture TV has spoken of its disappointment at BSkyB's decision to remove the channel from the Sky EPG.

Rapture TV was removed from EPG 193 on Monday following the channel's complaint to media regulator Ofcom about Sky's excessive EPG charges.

A Rapture TV spokesman told SkyDigiOnline.co.uk: "We are disappointed that BSkyB has decided to remove Rapture TV from the EPG, as we're now going to appeal Ofcom's decision at the Competitions and Appeals Tribunal, where we hope all evidence will be looked at within an appropriate timescale."

The spokesman added that Rapture was in negotiations with BSkyB until the last minute without a response from BSkyB: "We have been trying to negotiate right up until Friday 16th March, without any response from them."

Last month, BSkyB were cleared by Ofcom allegations that it overcharged Rapture for EPG listings on Sky Digital.
