A new channel formed to establish 'music by genre' infotainment programming, with built-in quick music purchasing options is launching on Monday.
MusFlash TV will specialise in eight key UK music genres including Rock/Alternative, Pop, Acoustic/Folk, Soul/RnB, Hip Hop/Urban, Dance/Electronic, Jazz/World/Blues/Gospel, Classical. These genres will each have a weekly ‘MusFlash’ half hour programme.
Viewers will also be given access to purchase music being played on the channel via phone or text. The 'instant' purchase takes up to a minute to order and the CD/DVD will arrive within 24 hours of the transaction going through.
The programmes will also be freshened and updated daily by remotely input breaking news 'MusFlash' information in a similar style to Sky News and Sky Sports News.
MusFlash TV's CEO Barry Evans, a music mogul with twenty-eight years of industry experience behind him, recognised a unique creative and highly profitable commercial and promotional opportunity targeting the time-challenged 20-60 year old TV viewer, many of whom are not download savvy and still purchase CDs in a traditional manner or simply are not informed of what to buy anymore.
MusFlash TV will broadcast free-to-air and will launch on Sky EPG 375. A carriage deal is also being finalised for Virgin Media viewers. Programmes will also be available to view from the channel’s website.
