Record hits for Sky Sports website

January 2007 was a record month for the Sky Sports website beating its previous best set back in August 2006.

Skysports.com achieved ¾ million higher than the previous record
month.

The Sky Sports site achieved the following in January:
* 9,280,558 unique users
* 320,533,473 page impressions
* nearly a million video downloads

Visitors to the website were driven primarily by the site's live football transfer section, plus its Ashes coverage which included live ball by ball coverage and a comprehensive video lounge.

Piers Croton, Director of Sky Sports Networked Media, said: "This is another fantastic landmark for skysports.com and reinforces our belief that the site is rapidly becoming the destination website for sports news and views. These figures also confirm the popularity growth of video downloads."
