Sky News has signed ITV Meridian presenter Charlotte Hawkins to co-host the Sky News breakfast show Sunrise.
Charlotte, who makes her Sky News debut next Monday will provide a round-up of the top stories throughout the three-hour strand, from 6am to 9am, and will be part of the morning team that includes Sky News presenter Eamonn Holmes and sports presenter Jacquie Beltrao.
Commenting on her move to Sky News, Charlotte said: "I'm particularly looking forward to joining the Sunrise team as the breakfast show sets the agenda for the day and gives viewers all the information they need when waking up."
John Ryley, Head of Sky News, added: "Charlotte is a popular news presenter and is a welcome addition to the Sky News team."
Charlotte started her broadcasting career with ITN in 1999 as a news reader and reporter for LBC Radio.
The new Sunrise presenter line-up will be appear from Monday 15th January.
In another move, Sky News presenter Lorna Dunkley is moving to Sky News Weekend, from Sunrise, to strengthen further the weekend presenting line-up. Lorna will join Emma Crosby, Steve Dixon, Mark Longhurst and Chris Roberts presenting Sky News' weekend programming.
