Sky announces launch for 'Anytime TV'

Sky's Anytime on PC, Mobile and now TV tooSky today announced the highest ever sales figures for its growing product range after strong demand from customers in the pre-Christmas period.

To coincide with the results announced today, BSkyB has today said it will launch its new 'Anytime TV' by the end of March.

The new enhancement will enable customers to watch a selection of the week’s best programmes on-demand.

'Anytime TV' will be available to more than one million customers from launch, making use of additional capacity in more recent Sky+ and Sky HD boxes.

Costs for 'Anytime TV' and a launch date will be announced shortly.

Just seven months after launch, Sky HD is confirmed as Sky’s fastest-selling additional TV product ever. The total number of Sky HD customers almost doubled in the quarter to reach 184,000, up from 96,000 at the end of September.

Sky+, the UK’s most popular digital video recorder, ended 2006 with 1.97 million customers, up from 1.69 million at the end of September. Since the start of January 2007, the number of Sky+ customers has broken through 2 million for the first time.
