Controversy over Legal TV's EPG listing

Controversy surrounds the name, which has been listed on Legal TV's schedule tonight on Sky Digital's EPG.

BSkyB Legal TV to remove the title of a 1980s Crown Court episode from the EPG because it contains a racist term. The episode, titled 'Paki Basher', features the case of an Asian man who is tried for attacking a white youth and is due to air at 20:30.

Sky is concerned that the title of the show may offend viewers. The channel, however, remains adamant to keep the show name listed as it is on the EPG to make the point that what was acceptable when the episode first aired in 1984 is no longer acceptable today.

Legal TV is based on EPG 215.
