Struggling inspirational music channel R Music TV will cease broadcasting in the New Year.

Targeted at the Christian community, R Music TV has struggled to stay on air due to the lack of financial support. The channel has appealed for more funding in the last few months.

R Music TV will be replaced by Revelation TV's brand new channel called Genesis 247.

According to a spokesperson at Revelation TV, the changes are expected to take place early in 2007.

Details on the new channel are still unclear however a spokesperson did add that it would: "have even more LIVE programmes than Revelation TV. Genesis 247 will minister to the people giving out daily manna in a greater way."

R Music TV continues to broadcasts on Sky EPG 370.
