ESPN have informed Sky Digi Online there is no imminent plans of a Sky launch - certainly not later this month, as earlier reports had suggested.

Mike McKibbin, ESPN Classic Sport's Director Of Marketing and Promotions was "encouraged" to read the earlier reports of a launch on Sky but said "we have no date set for the channel to appear in the UK."

However he didn't rule out a possible launch later in the year saying, "our (ESPN Classic Sport) most recent launch was in Portugal and we have high hopes for further expansion into Central and Eastern Europe throughout 2006."
