American sports broadcaster ESPN is all set to launch its channel Classic Sports in the UK, as soon as end of this month

The channel will go live on Sky Digital and is currently in the process of finding a third party advertising sales house.

The channel specialises in major sporting events from the past three decades, including everything from past Superbowl clashes to action from the British Open golf.

The Clasic Sport channel launched in France first in 2002 and has proved succesful. It is available in 40 other European countries too, including Germany and Italy.

ESPN Classic Sport will also launch on cable soon.
