Two new shows spark August Imagine schedule

Imagine's August schedule has been sparked with the arrival of two new shows, BizAsia.co.uk can confirm.

The first will be new blockbuster multi-starer drama 'Rakt Sambandh', which replaces 'Devi' in the 21:30 slot from Monday 9th August.

Though 'Devi' has done averagely in the ratings, the channel has decided to axe it to make way for the UTV Telly Talkies produced drama.

According to India-Forums, 'Rakt Sambandh' is a story of five sisters who are bonded together by blood ties even after they go through their individual trials in life. The show boasts of a huge cast and has South actor Kitty, Kavita Kapoor, Mohan Bhandari, Sriti Jha, Sayantani Ghosh, Sachin Shroff, Dhruv Bhandari, Gungun Uprari and Sonali Nikam.

The other new show set to start in August on the channel will be a weekly chat show called 'Meethi Choori No.1', from Saturday 14th August at 19:00.

'Meethi Choori No.1' is an adaptation from a Turner International show in Japan and Korea. This show will focus on popular perception versus reality. Each episode will feature eight popular TV celebrities, audience favourites such as Rashmi Desai from 'Uttaran', Parul Chauhan of 'Bidaai', Ankita Lokhande of 'Pavitra Rishta' and Mahi Vij of 'Laggi Tujhse Lagan'.

The show will be hosted by Jay Bhanushi and Shabbir.

As a part of its bumper programme line-up, Imagine TV will also be broadcasting the premiere of Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori starer 'Kites' on India's Independence Day - Sunday 15th August.
