Three movies to premiere first on Colors

Viacom 18 has begun its onslaught in the UK Asian TV market by differentiating its Colors channel's programming to its rivals.

As revealed last week on BizAsia.co.uk, Colors will begin its new line-up of original afternoon shows from later this month. In a further attempt, it plans to lure viewers with the broadcast of three new movie premieres first before its rivals.

At the time of when TV channels are showing similar new movie titles in syndication deals with film distributors, the first telecast of a movie plays an important in enticing new viewers.

Colors has scheduled the following three new movies to be telecast first on its channel:

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani
Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif
Sunday 14th February at 20:00

Kurbaan
Starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor
Sunday 21st February at 20:00

Kaminey
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra
Sunday 28th February at 20:00

The channel recently screened 'Blue' first in the UK and will now be followed with a telecast on NDTV Imagine this weekend. The above movie titles are also being syndicated with B4U Movies, NDTV Imagine, ZEE Network and Channel 4.
