In light of today's announcement that the BBC Asian Network is launching the world's first 'Official Asian Download Chart', the station has announced a slew of schedule changes from Saturday 27th March.

BizAsia.co.uk can exclusively reveal that Mutz's request show will move to the Saturday midday slot, replacing the 'Top 20 chart', which is being axed to make way for the 'Official Asian Download Chart' - airing at 15:00.

Punjabi Hit Squad and Bhangra show - 'Bhangra Mix Tape' will move back an hour, both scheduled at 18:00 and 21:00 respectively. The 'Mic Check' has been scheduled at 23:00.

At 01:00, the station will switch to sister station 5Live for rolling news coverage, in an effort to save money. It was reported on BizAsia.co.uk earlier that 'Electro East' with Nerm and 'Pathaan’s Musical Rickshaw' will be axed after disappointing listening figures in the "graveyard" slot.
