Sunrise Radio employee found dead in street

Sunrise Radio employee Geeta Aulakh has been found dead in a London street.

Mother-of-two Geeta, 28, was attacked in Greenford, northwest London, on Monday as she made her way from the radio station to her childminder's home.

Her boss Avtar Lit said: "This is a terrible tragedy. I have been to see her parents and they are inconsolable with grief."

Geeta's colleagues arrived for work yesterday in tears. Later some went on air to report her death.

Presenter Sarita Sabharawal said: "She was such a lovely person, always smiling. She was a great worker. Everyone loved her."

Six men, including her husband, have been arrested over her killing.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact the Incident Room on 020 8247 7821 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
