Litt Corporation's Buzz Asia goes on-air

Buzz Asia goes live on-airLitt Corporation's newly acquired radio station Buzz Asia has gone on-air this afternoon.

As exclusively revealed by us, former Club Asia radio presenter Missy D is presenting for the new station under her new presenter name Ritu D.

Another former Club Asia presenter, now on Sunrise Radio; Deepa Rai (Anushka Arora) is also expected to join Missy D on Buzz Asia. Its also been confirmed that alternative music show host from Club Asia - Mr Kay will front a programme on the new Buzz Asia.

From first listen, Buzz Asia's imaging including stings and jingles are similar sounding to its predecessor - Club Asia. The word 'Club' has simply been replaced with 'Buzz'.

As the station transforms fully into Buzz Asia, majority of the output is dependent on back to back, playlisted shows.

Yesterday BizAsia.co.uk reported that the Office of Fair Trading are seeking comments from the public and people in the industry on the corporation's acquisition.

Last month, Litt Corporation successfully bid for the licence for Club Asia.

However, Litt Corporation are being investigated by the OFT over concerns that they would hold a complete monopoly of the Asian London analogue radio market.

It already owns Sunrise Radio, Kismat Radio and Punjabi Radio. The latest - Buzz Asia.

The station is available through 963AM and 972AM in London.

I am really happy about this. Lets hope they lose the licence.
