India ratings: ZEE TV returns to number one

'Pavitra Rishta' helps ZEE TV climb to number 1After nine long years of hard work, old favourite ZEE TV has returned to the coveted numero uno position, according to Week 26 TAM viewership data.

ZEE TV has surged ahead to claim the number one spot with an all day GRP of 243.1. Colors is at number two with 242.8 GRPs, while STAR Plus slips this week to number three. It could only manage 218 GRPs.

NDTV Imagine continues to rule the roster at number four with 108 GRPs. Sony Entertainment Television Asia's new look has still got some work to do, it comes next with 91 GRPs.

Other channels include SAB TV at 61, STAR One at 52, Sahara One at 29, STAR Utsav at 22, 9X at 19 and Real at 12.

Well, this isn't a shocker. But it should be noted that Zee is only 1 point ahead of Colors, which offers the most entertaining shows like India's Got Talent and Bigg Boss. This is also a wake-up call for Star, because they've only got a few noteworthy shows, which apparently aren't good enough for them to be the market leader. Maybe the upcoming "Sach Ka Saamna" can turn Star's fortunes around? As for Zee, I don't see them remaining numero uno for much longer. I believe that Colors, Star, and Zee will continue to battle it out.

Congrats to zee.I think its mostly due to the success of Chhoti Bahu. People have clicked with that show and enjoy it. Make sure you keep the storyline interesting and hope the stars do not get ideas to leave. Thy too will make a mistake if they do so.

congratz Zee Tv but however our zee tv has expired and i can't watch maa which is my favourite and lil champs because zee tv is expensive and it's too much money aswell. Zee tv should be like star plus cause it's much cheaper and has good programmes aswell.
