STAR TV to host 'Simply STAR' event

STAR to host new event in SeptemberSTAR TV Network will be holding a "unique" event in September in an exercise for viewers to interact with the four channels it broadcasts in the UK.

'Simply STAR', as the event has been named, aims to bring to life the best of South Asian entertainment and culture synonymous with the STAR Network.

In a press release, STAR said, "When guests enter the event, they will be transported into the world of STAR. This first of a kind family event, will include local celebrities and international talent too and will give guests an interactive experience."

The event will include popular faces from across the network. Stars from 'Bidaai' have been confirmed, as well as a popular sports presenter from STAR News, and an unparralled laughter king from STAR One, together with a guest appearance and performance from Signature.

"It has always remained our objective at STAR to bring the best of South Asian programming to our viewers and we endeavor to reaffirm our position as content innovators, by hosting this experiential event which will give our viewers an opportunity to interact and engage with the STAR brand," said Yeshpal Sharma - Vice President, Distribution and Sales UK.

'Simply STAR' is hoping to attract 5,000 guests on the day. The event's activities include live performances, interaction, photo opportunities, celebrity interviews and appearances, exhibitor stalls and a food court.

The event will consist of a morning session from 11:00 until 14:00 and an evening session from 17:00 and 20:00.

Simply STAR will be held on Saturday 12th September at the Old Billingsgate, London over looking the River Thames.
