STAR One UK launch new 'Laughter' series

STAR One has launched a new laughter block with 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 4', showcasing the best rising stars on the Indian comedy circuit.

'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' is famous throughout India for resurrecting laughter on television whilst canvassing great talent. With different contestants showcasing each week, the show will provide a diverse range of comic talent.

"The Great Indian Laughter Challenge has pioneered humour on Indian television and also discovered the best comic talent, we are very excited to be introducing the show in the UK," said Mr Ravi Menon, EVP & General Manager, STAR One.

The jury on the show consists of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha along with wizard of wit and former Indian cricketer, Navjot Singh Sidhu. Also judging the show will be actress, Shenaz Treasurywala who is particularly famous for her infectious smile.

Some of the contestants on this unmissable show will include, 19 year old, Amil Khan from Kolkata whose talent includes mimicking voices. Abdal Khan from Jamshedpur is a great voice artist and has his own unique way of creating laughter amongst audiences.

'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge 4' airs on STAR One weekends at 21:00.
