Sky Sports bags World Cup 2011 rights

Sky Sports has won the live rights to all ICC cricket events over the next two years, including the World Cup in 2011 to be played in Asia.

The deal grants Sky Sports live and highlights rights across all platforms - television, mobile and Internet - to some of the sport's biggest one-day and Twenty20 competitions featuring all the major playing nations.

As part of the new deal, Sky Sports will broadcast the following:

ICC World Cup - live coverage of cricket's most important one-day competition from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, beginning in February 2011.

ICC World Twenty20 - the next two competitions live; from England this month and the West Indies in 2010.

ICC Champions Trophy - live coverage of this year's tournament, taking place in South Africa during September and October.

Women's and under-19s cricket - the semi finals and final of the ICC Women's World Twenty20 in England this month live, plus the U-19s World Cup from Kenya in 2010.

In addition to England's home Tests, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches, Sky has the rights to live international cricket from Australia, South Africa, India, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
