What a shame! I loved waking up to his wiity show each weekend. What are you going to be doing now, Mo?

Wrong BBC most of us are not kids. We prefered Mo and will switch off.

Really sad to see that Mo Dutta's radio show has ended. We really enjoyed his style of presenting together with features such as Jim Bacon and Simon Calder. Great humour to the show and we used to look forward to listening to him. Listened to Zoe Ball this morning - although we like Zoe, we much preferred Mo at this time - Zoe is too hyper!
Bring back Mo or at least tell us where he has gone to so that we can tune in.

When will the BBC stop taking off good presenters. Mo on Saturday was a great way to start the weekend. He has a dry sense of humour and doesn't talk loads of nonsense to fill in the time like others. Perhaps the BBC should ask their listeners what they want.

I really enjoyed listening to Mo first thing on a Saturday morning! I'm going to miss him - Zoe Ball has a lot to live up to.

sorry Zoe but this is Mo's show - please BBC bring back Mo Dutta

What is up at BBC2 Radio?? I looked forward to catching up on my community charity work on Saturday nights-Sunday mornings listening to Pete Mitchell & Mo Dutta. I, too, am a mature adult & enjoyed their humor, songlists, & guests.
I'm afraid Richard & Zoe, will not be able to fit the bill despite their talents. Oh, I'm not happy at all with this switch.

It took me a while to warm to Mo, but once I did, I looked forward to Sat mornings... he & Simon Calder were most informative.
I 1st heard Zoe Ball this morning & switched over to "Big toe Books" on Radio7, & I'm 62.
Zoe is NOT for R2, at all, & what child (to whom she directs her music taste), even know where radio2 is on the dial. If Mo can't return, fine, but get rid of the hyper Zoe. You've lost another listener to that slot on a Sat.

Mo is fantastic! Ive listened to him for years. I remember when he did a 'cooking slot' with Sid. Bring back Mo. I like Zoe,but this is Mo's show!

Saturday mornings are just not the same without Mo on Radio 2. Let's hope that Mo returns to Radio 2 in the not too distant future.
Mo, you have a lot of fans desperate for your return.

Bring back Mo is all I can hope.
The music was great from old or new artist and the banter with Jim and Simon was just right for an early Saturday morning.
When will the BBC appreciate what they already have? and now lost.
Move Zoe to the 10am slot and save a lot of wasted money by removing Ross.

I agree with all the positive comments about Mo.
I didn't realise he'd finished I thought he was away on holiday.
I have been enjoying his Saturday and previously also his Sunday shows and really miss the Saturday morning run into SOTS. His witty chats with Jim Bacon were also much looked forward to.
BBC - Bring Mo back please.

I came upon your website searching for news about Mo Dutta. Yes, I agree heartily with many of the other messages posted here; I miss Mo, his gently witty style and warm, distinctive voice, a real gem. More, soon please.
Mo, if you read this,I wish you yours all the very best.

Radio 2 has also made a dog's dinner of its Saturday night schedule. Who is the killjoy now in charge of the station?
Posted by: John
---
Saturday mornings on Radio 2 are not worth listening without Mo. I have tried to listen to Zoe but this is not to my taste and I no longer listen to Radio2 on Saturday monrings.
Posted by: Carol
---
It really is a travesty taking Mo off on a Saturday. I have tried really hard to listen to Zoe's drivel but cannot stand it any more so have decided not to wake up to radio on a Saturday.
BBC PLEASE BRING BACK MO
Posted by: Lesley
---
I miss Mo on Saturdays he was a really good presenter and like most other people enjoyed his banter eg: her indoors and with Jim Bacon and Simon Calder. Saturday mornings are not the same now!!
Posted by: Edwina Aubin
---
Have listened to Zoe for the past few Sat mornings but - sorry Zoe, we had to switch you off, you just haven't got what it takes for early Sat Radio 2. We miss Mo and his chats with Jim and Simon, why on earth was he taken off?
Posted by: Jo Cook
---
I missed Mo's last show, and thought Zoe Ball was just filling in while he was on holiday. I've listened to him for years, and much appreciated the intelligence and humour. He was a Radio 2 institution - who on earth decided to replace him with Zoe's bland nonsense?
Posted by: Annette
---
Sorry Zoe, you're a switch off.
We need cheering up in this dreary old world. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BRING BACK MO!!!
Posted by: Mary
---
Oh Saturdays are not the same first Russell and now Mo!
Posted by: Di
---
Is the BBC even listening to us???? I too no longer listen to Radio 2 on a Saturday, Zoe, you're good, but you're just not Mo. Please BBC, bring him back!
Posted by: Rose
---
PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK MO!!! IN SPITE OF HER TALENT, ZOE DOES NOT EVEN REACH HIS HEEL. I WILL SWITCH OFF R2 UNTIL MO HAS RETURNED.
DISGRUNTELED
Posted by: Marian

Please, please, PLEASE bring back Mo Dutta. Zoe's ok but I can't stand some of the females she has on, all with verbal diarrhoea. Mo is brilliant and I really miss listening to him on Saturdays before I go to work.
Posted by: Gaye

I really miss Mo. Can't get to grips with Zoe! NEVER felt the need to comment on presenter changes up till now!! BRING BACK MO
Posted by: Sharon Vonk

S'funny innit?
I started off hating Mo but after a while he just grew on me, bit like me missus. So BRING BACK MO, BBC!
BRING BACK MO, BBC! BRING BACK MO, BBC!
BRING BACK MO, BBC! BRING BACK MO, BBC!
BRING BACK MO, BBC! BRING BACK MO, BBC!
BRING BACK MO, BBC! BRING BACK MO, BBC!

Mo and my first cuppa on Saturday morning took me into a happy weekend mood, with Jim & Simon adding the cream. Zoe Ball is a no starter - BRING BACK MO.

This is the first time I have ever emailed about a prog. BUT I really really miss Mo and his relaxed start to the weekend.Simon Calder & Jim Bacon were interesting & humourous regulars. A perfect mix to start my weekend... Zoe Ball is TOOOOOOOO much first thing on a Sat morn. Mindless drivel and delivered much too fast for that time of day. What is the Beeb thinking of? As big a switch off as Ross and all his drivel.
Posted by: Jean Jeannie
---
My partner & I miss Mo Dutta on Saturday mornings. We've never felt the need to comment on presenter changes before but just we can't understand Zoe's drivel and dislike the music! Please bring back Mo. He's unique presenting style really grew on us over the years and we used look forward to Sat mornings with Mo, on the radio with Simon Calder or Richard Bacon. What are you thinking of BBC, are you trying to get rid of your regular listeners?!! Brian & Kay

Missing Mo's wit on Saturday mornings, start your own digital channel Mo you will pull a huge following and also cut out the middle (Auntie) man
Posted by: Andy & Niki
---
Get rid of Johnathan Ross and put Mo in his slot
Posted by: Kevin
---
i really miss mo dutta on a saturday morning - hate the new line up and now listen to tony blackburn on smooth - another lost listener radio2 are you listening.
ps does anyone know if mo is broadcating elsewhere ????
Posted by: alan mapp

Agree with all the above. Dry style but friendly with it. A real talent.
The buzzer setting on my alarm is more entertaining than Zoe Ball.
Posted by: Steve
---
PLEASE PLEASE bring Mo back. Just put R.2 on and 5 mins later turned off. Zoe Ball still as bad as the last time i put her show on, what a load of c..p. Where is Mo Dutta Now???
Posted by: Ken
---
I've always listened to Mo. I switched off after his last show.
So BBC wake up. We are the bosses - the licence fee payers. You execs are our employees!
Posted by: Peig Richards

It took a while but persevere and Mo turns into one of the best presenters on radio.I can't stand the drivel now put out on Saturday and Sunday early morning radio (Yes Pete Mitchell also went).Good adult dry humour and a great mix of topics with Simon and Jim.Loved the bits about the dog and her indoors. You are much missed Mo -like many more I don't listen at weekends.

October 2009. 5 months now and still suffering my weekend "Mo withdrawal" symptons. I agree totally with the "he grew on me" comments as well as "why do BBC get rid of popular presenters" concept. I used to look forward to getting up early deliberately to listen to Mo. The bubbly replacements do not in any way provide a replacement? 5 months and I remain dismayed and switched off R2. Well done BBC another successful change but don't forget folks - it is "OUR BBC" - isn't it? I suggest that all who have posted here (presumably for searching for Mo info on google?) write letters of complaint to the BBC. You could ask as well as "why?" ? also "just who in the listening public of R2 was this change of presenter aimed at" ? and " what level of listening audience consultation was made prior to the change?" sad sad but do something about it and mobilise disent now.

I did not realise that the BBC had got rid of Mo. That is so unfair.
Posted by: E Robinson

Bring back Mo - He was really great and we are so sorry he is not on the radio on Saturdays anymore. His slot with Simon Caulder was really good too and I used to look forward to listening. Can't understand what Zoe Ball is talking about half of the time she is probably a nice person but not for this time of the morning. I now switch off.
Posted by: Ann
---
Zoe is too loud scatty and frivolous a real turn off. Sacking Mo was the usual BBC cock up.
Posted by: Ron Rodgers
---
Why doesn't the BBC get rid of John Woss and put Mo Dutter in his slot ?
Posted by: Barry
---
We miss Mo very much, and would love to have him back. Zoe is O.K. but she talks TO FAST makes your head spin. So radio 2 goes off and classic goes on.
It will be the same when Terry Wogan leaves, who will want Chris Evans type of programme to wake up to. If you want to get rid of people do so start with J Ross and Brand cannot stand them.
Posted by: Ann
---
I really really miss Mo. Zoe Ball's choice of music is awful. When she speaks to some other woman on the show it is just a load of rubbish and gets on our nerves so we now turn it off and wait for SOTS. BRING BACK MO.
Posted by: Dee Brown

with all due respect to zoe ball i wish you would bring back Mo Dutter. i gave zoe a while to settle in but for me it has never happened, and i stopped listening.
Posted by: Bill

I used to set my alarm to wake up to Mo Dutta. He was a true professional not like these mindless people you are filling radio two with. Why don't you listen to your audience you've lost yet another!
Posted by: anne beale

I totally agree with all these commments. Mo Dutta was great and I looked foward to his shows every week. Are the BBC trying to turn Radio 2 into some bland station like Heart or Magic? Robert
Posted by: Robert Harwood

I'm assuming it was Mo's decision to leave but I'm not too sure. Radio 2 is in free fall lately.
The amount of good shows getting axed (Mark Lamarr's reggae show, Jonathan Ross's Saturday show) is pathetic. And it's all getting replaced by crap like Zoe Ball, Chris Evans (SHUT UP!) and other useless people who used to clog the TV channels.
Bring back MO! I'm in my 20's so it's not just the older listeners who loved his show.
Does anyone know if he's setting up else where? I'd love to listen to his show where ever it may now reside.
Posted by: Carl

I whole heartily agree with all the commments made by the above.
I loved listening to Mo's dry sense of humour.
Why Oh why do we have to have this drivell instead of the warm wit of Mo and co

Just found this site I,m pleased to see I'm not the only one who feels this way. So many comments just echo my feelings. Both Zoe and richard just don't do it for me, they both talk too fast and imagine that the show is just about themselves. I preferred the gentle approach that Mo had. I'm with you all, bring back Mo.
Posted by: Dave

Any chance of Mo coming back to R2 on Saturday mornings.Zoe is not the answer.
Posted by: thomas coombes

Zoe looks great and I'm sure she's a nice person, but just SO exhausting to listen to. Perhaps the BBC can let her finish up 15 mins earlier so she can catch that train. Poor girl rabbits on, hardly draws breath, and bang went my relaxing Saturday mornings waking up to the radio.
Seriously BBC - you need to tell her to talk slower, enunciate better. Why can't the English teach their children how to speak?

I've complained to Radio 2 three times now and got the usual "Well not everyone can like Zoe".
I'm beginning to see that nobody seems to like Zoe. She does my girlfriend's head in and she was just getting to enjoy Mo quite a bit.
I used to listen from 12am Friday night / Saturday morning (God's Jukebox) right through to 1pm Saturday after Wossy. Once god's Jukebox finishes now I switch off and sometimes don't even bother knocking it back on for SOTS.
Well done BBC. What a cock-up. Radio 2 is getting rather prone to this kind of thing lately.
It's now 9th June 2010 and still no word of a return to the radio for Mo. Is he on any other stations? I'd gladly listen to any.
