KBC set for comeback after technical glitch

Kashmir Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) has confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it vows to return after falling off the air since Friday (8th May). The Kashmiri infotainment channel, which broadcasts on Sky Digital EPG 836 has been showing a black screen since the problem. A spokesman for the channel said there has been a problem with the fibre optics, which transmit the station. He did not comment on any timeline for return but did want BizAsia.co.uk to reassure viewers that it was definitely coming back. KBC launched in August, last year by the Afsar Group in Birmingham. | |

KBC is not coming back. There is no fibre optic problem. It's a fact that KBC is gone and not going to comeback thats for sure. I'm glad they gone they had nothing to broadcast.

KBC is the only Kashmiri Channel in the UK, with a fantastic line-up of programmes to cater for the taste of every culture. Im sure it will be back very soon

Rubbish!
They have gone, anyway there's a deadline of 30 days, if the channel is not on air they loose their spot (836)
Plus a lot of the stuff is naff.... putting kashmiri's back!

KBC is a newly established channel for us Kashmir's yet we do not want to join hands with our Kashmir's brothers and support them. All we do is talk about our own things and do not worry about our brothers and sisters who are suffering. Get up and support your brother's who are trying to give a voice to Kashmir's. Long Live KBC. AND I PRAY TO ALLAH THE CHANNEL HAS SUCCESS THROUGH THIS STRUGGLE.

KBC may be gone but not finished. It is set to come back. However, if did not that does not mean that there wont be a Kashmiri Channel. Aapna and KBC proved that there is a market. All it needs now is someone equiped with proper business and management skills to capture that market. British Kashmiris came through very hard times and i am confident that they will eventually cross over this milestone and a Kashmiri channel will establish in Britain soon. Kashmiris of the world unite.
