India ratings: ZEE TV in resurgent mode

In the latest India ratings data supplied by audience measuring body TAM, ZEE TV has come up trumps with some impressive figures.

While STAR Plus and Colors continue to fight for the top spot, ZEE TV is only 15 GRPs away from the pole position.

According to TAM Media Research's weekly data, ZEE TV has been growing week-on-week in terms of GRPs. From 213 GRPs in Week 20, ZEE TV has garnered 221 GRPs in Week 21 and remains steady at No 3. The channel, three of whose programmes feature in the list of top ten most watched programmes, commands a relative share of 20 per cent.

In Week 21, Colors is only 2 GRPs ahead of STAR Plus. Colors superseded STAR Plus by recording 236 GRPs and both have garnered an identical channel share of 21 per cent share.

NDTV Imagine has stuck to the number 4 rank with 93 GRPs, while Sony Entertainment Television Asia is 15 GRPs behind. Their channel share stand's at 9 and 7 per cent respectively. STAR One, at number 6, has garnered 65 GRPs and commands a 6 per cent share of the pie.

SAB TV has garnered a 4 per cent share, followed by Sahara One with 3 per cent relative share. DD1, 9X and STAR Utsav have garnered 2 per cent share each, followed by Real with 1 per cent.
