View Asia will become the biggest Asian TV network in the UK, with seven channels part of the bundle - MAX, ARY Digital, Sahara One, Aaj Tak, SAB, B4U Movies and Sony TV.

Commenting on the launch of View Asia, Rajan Singh, Executive Vice-President for International Business, Sony Entertainment Network. said, "Given the current market scenario and economic uncertainty, it is highly imperative we understand our customers and respond to their needs. At the end of the day, they are looking at entertainment in more ways than one and at a price that suits their wallet. We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing 7 quality channels through the View Asia bouquet. We look forward to bringing our viewers even more quality channels in the near future."

Sunil Rohra, CEO of B4U Network commented, "B4U MOovies are very pleased to join MAX Mix under the newly created View Asia bouquet and look forward to bringing our ten years of experience and loyal subscribers across the UK to View Asia. With our vast movie library of Bollywood blockbusters and classics, we are confident viewers across the UK will have an unrivalled combination of variety and value for money."

Neeraj Arora, Senior Vice President, Sony Entertainment Network stated, "With the addition of SET Asia and B4U Movies to the MAX Mix existing roster of 5 channels – Aaj Tak, ARY Digital, MAX, SAB and Sahara One; we will further be able to enhance our position as UK’s leading provider of quality Asian entertainment across genres. We are committed to providing quality entertainment, choice and value."

The package is only available on Sky Digital.

Mr Rajan Singh and Neeraj Arora talk about this new launch, but they really need to sort out call centre staff and the customer service they offer as a company. It is by far the worst I have ever come across, it is appaling. They may not have many customers left if the company continues to run in this manner. The company far from understands its customers!

Asian television..its now been some time since TV Asia..followed by currently 20 to 30 Asian channels over UK,Europe are available..BUT its very difficult to establish,if any of these channels understand the meaning of television broadcasting. What Asians here need and how come with Ofcom rules of at least 30% local production..we dont see any local taste in programmes..otherthen some pop songs.

It's high time ONE local Asian TV channels come on..not all this back dated programmes from Asia.

I would like OFCOM to wake up to this premium number theft..most of the channels major income comes form this..it is illegal.

I am open to any channel who disagrees and confronts my above text..

i concur with Robina on call centre staff and the customer service. its worse and never ending queues. they are saying sometimes there lines are occupied for 2 hours. so you need to wait 2 hours.

outrageous...

Do we have to pay £17.99 for another seven channels of advertising? As at present we watch a programme for less than 15 minutes within advertisements.
Secondly why do we watch live programmes broadcasts after a week or months?
This is true for all Indian channels in U.K
Can we ever have a decent Indian channel in this country?

outrageous for 17.99 for new subscriber. i would prefer watching this serial on you tube rather than paying 17.99 in this econommic conditions. Moreover the serials they show are always 1 month behing the india one. So on you tube I get to watch the latest as well as not pay ... :) kiddo to you tube ...and down down to this asia package ..

Why new subscribers should pay £17.99 instead of £15.99 for the same viewasia channels under the bad economic conditions? The Company should treat everyone the same way if it wants to broaden its customers base.
There should not be any disparity on subscription charges for old and new customers.I do agree with other viewers and commentators that broadcast should cover 30% of local production in regional stories, dramas, soaps, and other programmes. Everything seems to be made in India,.....It does not matter what you talk about. Give new direction to these programmes.

I have been a customer for Sony B4U for ages. This package should be cheaper anyway because if we get 6 pack form sky each pack costs a £1 and each pack got about hundreds of channels.these are only seven channels and they charging 15.99 to 17.99 which is ridiculous.

I'm customer of Sony B4U,last 6 years, can i get other 5 channels( MaxMix) with same price £15.99/month (7 channels).

I'm customer of maxmix from last two years. Can i get B4U & SONY TV with same price (15.99)?

I only watch sony for the Indian news but sadly the focus is not 'all India' but focussed on Kashmir or political news - why not be like the BBC or ITV - a broad spread covering international & national news. Secondly, adverts on Sony are the evidence based? Skin lightening - Why? We are in the 21st century and still skin colour an issue with Indians!!!

Living in UK, Most of the Asians[Indians,Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Napalese & Pakistani]subscribe to the basic BSkyB package[£18.50]and pay just £1 more to add Style and culture which includes 'Star One','Star Plus'.'Star Movies','Star News','NDTV News'and as a freeview you also get '9x','9xm Music','NDTV Imagine','Sunrise TV','B4U Music','Zee Music','MATV' and many more other Asian channels,There isn't enough time to watch all the programs available on all these channels, so why would anyone want to pay for 'Viewasia package'???

Appalling telephone lines! What is the point having such a launch when you cannot get through customer services. No indication of tel. working hrs, no queue indication and you guessed right still trying to take-up the package (has been 5 days now)!No other means of communication for customers.i.e. internet, messages, email etc????

£18 for 6-7 channels. Ridiculous. And what is the standard of these programmes. What these companies think whom they are talking to? They need to wake up.

Posted by: V Sharma

it would be much feasible and affordable for all if the asian package channels costs below £10 every month... though its quite expensive for all.... if its £5 for all channels which is included in VIEWASIA network... then vieweres will definitely increase alottt

Posted by: vijay
---

I think the board directors of the View Asia should take these comments into consideration and lower their package price. Deffo more people will take the package. So more money will be made. Its too ridiculous for words how much they're charging.

View Asia is a rip off and their service is useless!

Posted by: Ayesha
---

I think everyone should cancel this package, its the only way Sony/B4U will take notice and reduce charges, I have done exactly this!

Posted by: Sachin
---

It don't think i can pay £17.99 for few indian channels. Some channels have only repetative programs going on all the time. I will not even recommend to any one for this package.
