India ratings: Colors egdes pass ZEE TV

Colors has triumphed yet again in the latest set of India TV ratings.

According to TelevisionPoint, the Viacom18 owned channel has retained the number two position in the last week of December, despite being on par with ZEE TV in the previous week.

The data of TAM Media Research (C&S, 4+, HSM) shows Colors comfortably sitting at number two, with ZEE TV settling for number three with a loss of 39 points. However, STAR Plus continues to lead the way with an increase of just 3 points and a total of 295 GRPs.

STAR Plus had a channel share of 25 per cent in Week 52. Colors' share increased from 20 per cent in Week 51 to 22 per cent in Week 52, while ZEE TV's share declined from 20 per cent to 16 per cent during the same period.

Among the top 10 programmes on GECs, five are from STAR Plus, three shows are from Colors stable, while ZEE TV has two shows in its fold. 'Bidaai' on STAR Plus continues to be best rated show of the Week with a TVR of 8.43.

Among other channels, Sony Entertainment Television Asia (SET), shares the number four position with STAR One. The share of Sony TV is down by 1 per cent point, having 8 per cent share in Week 52. STAR One has retained its 7 per cent share from Week 51.

NDTV Imagine comes in next at number six with a 6 per cent share, the same as last week. Sony TV has attained GRPs of 81, followed by STAR One with 80 GRPs and NDTV Imagine with 65 GRPs.

9X, which continues its business with repeat programming, maintains a 4 per cent share, while Sab TV, manages a 4 per cent share too. Both these channels share the number seven position with Sahara One, which also has a share of 4 per cent channel share.
