'Kyunki...' & 'Kahani' UK end dates confirmed

'Kyunki Saas...axed by STAR'STAR Plus' two most successful soaps in the channel's history ended in India after much debacle, will now be going off in the UK this year itself.

'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii' produced by Balaji Telefilms had been on-air since 2000 but have seen their ratings dip drastically.

'Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii' ended in India last month and will breathe its last in the UK on Tuesday 25th November at 20:30.

Controversy surrounding 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' after a legal battle between STAR and Balaji Telefilms will result in the show coming to an end in India this week. In the UK, the last episode will be shown on Wednesday 31st December at 22:00.

It is currently unknown what new shows will replace these titans. No doubt, STAR won’t be taking any chances after all its facing immense competition from newcomer Colors and ZEE TV.

There are talks of another Balaji Telefilms show 'Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna' replacing 'Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and Rajan Shahi's new production 'Yeh Rishtha Kya Kehlata Hai'. However, Rajan's success with 'Bidaai' on the channel is looking favourite to take the coveted 22:00 slot for his new initiative.
