B4U sponsors B'ham Diwali celebrations

B4U Network has confirmed that it will be partnering up with what is being branded as the Midlands' biggest Diwali party on Sunday 9th November in Birmingham.

The Millennium Point will play host to the B4U Diwali which is organised jointly by the Hindu Council of Birmingham and Birmingham City Council and is also supported by B4U Music, who will transmit the event across the UK and around the world. The stage line-up includes the likes of Jay Sean, Raghav, DJ H and Jaz Dhami.

Mahendra Dabhi, president of the Hindu Council of Birmingham, said: "This is definitely the strongest stage line up we have ever had. It is testament to the quality and growing reputation of the West Midlands biggest Diwali celebration that such great artists are willing come and perform.

"The B4U Diwali extravaganza will have a huge number of attractions to suit all members of the family and all members of the community and this joyous celebration that symbolises the power of good to triumph over evil has significance and meaning for all of Birmingham’s communities."

Sunil Rohra, Global CEO of B4U Television Network, added: "B4U is really pleased to be sponsoring this year’s Diwali event in Birmingham, it promises to be one of the biggest outdoor cultural events in the UK. It also gives us a chance to interact with viewers in the region and let them sample the complete package of entertainment that we are committed to providing."

B4U Diwali concludes the British Asian Hafta and is also supported by BBC WM, BBC Midlands Today, Asian FX and the Eastern Media Group the publishers of Eastern Voice and The Sikh Times.

This is the first time B4U is associating itself with Diwali event outside London in three years. Recently STAR and Club Asia were announced as the media partners for the Diwali On The Square festival, the same event, which B4U has been sponsors of before, for three years consecutively.
