PTC News in negotiations for UK launch

Punjabi current affairs channel PTC News is in negotiations with numerous parties to launch the service in the UK market. Sources close to BizAsia.co.uk indicated that PTC News could initially begin broadcasting bulletins on Music India, which is already available on the Sky Digital platform. However, its goal is to become the first Punjabi news channel to broadcast round the clock in the UK, subject to EPG availability. Speculation is also rife that PTC News is in talks with MATV about its upcoming Punjabi entertainment channel. A decision on PTC News’ UK plans is expected to conclude mid-August.
