EXCLUSIVE: Aap TV to replace DM News Plus

Aapna Channel to relaunch as Aap TVDM Digital Network has confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it has sold one of its EPG slots to Aap TV, formely known as Aapna Channel.

Aapna Channel, which closed down at the end of March will be back in its new avtar, with the core focus of its programme policy remaining to inform and entertain the Kashmiri and Pahari speaking community.

DM News Plus, which broadcasts on Sky Digital channel 805 (803 from 7th July in new Sky EPG reshuffle) under the label DM Gold will make way for Aap TV on Tuesday 8th July.

In a statement exclusively to BizAsia.co.uk, Dr Malik, Chairman of DM Digital Network, said, "DM News Plus UK is changing its name to Aap TV from the 8th July 2008. DM Digital Network will no longer hold shares or any interest in the EPG 805. The new EPG will belong to Aap TV under EPG 803."
