State emergency halts Pakistan TV channels

A number of UK TV channels have switched to rolling news for coverage on the developing story. The likes of Sky News, BBC News 24, CNN, as well as Asian broadcasters such as NDTV 24x7, Aaj Tak and STAR News have been covering the breaking news since 15:00. ARY Digital has wiped its regular programming, switching to its news channel ARY One World for updates. Prime TV has been constantly getting updates from PTV Global. Geo UK and Geo News have been running exclusive news breaks. DM Digital's news channel DM News Plus is also covering the news. In Pakistan, Aaj TV's downlink signal has been cut off. | |
