ZEE TV to telecast Eastern Eye awards

ZEE TV will be highlighting the crème of the Asian business world by exclusively broadcasting this year's Eastern Eye Asian Business Awards on Friday 26th October at 22:00.

The most prolific event to mark the UK Asian business calendar, Eastern Eye Asian Business Awards 2007 took place at The London Hilton, Park Lane on Tuesday 8th May 2007, in the presence of HRH The Duke of York.

The prestigious awards were presented at a star studded gala dinner with a lavish VIP champagne reception, and more than 1,000 celebrities, VIPs, public figures, MPs and millionaires were in attendance, including last year’s Business of the Year Award-winner, Mike Jatania, Tom Singh of New Look, Lord Waheed Ali and Lord Paul.

A wealth of A-list mainstream, British Asian and international talents made their way down the red carpet before the onlooking media. The line-up of world class entertainment on the evening featured 22-year old singing supremo and protégée of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Keedie, and classic Bhangra outfit and veterans of the International Asian music circuit, Heera. This year’s entertaining hosts were GMTV presenter Clare Nasir and actor Nitin Ganatra.

Awards presented on the night were: Young Achiever of the Year, Hamptons International Newcomer of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Community Award, and Business of the Year.
