STAR One to launch slew of new shows

In the coming months, STAR One, the UK's only youth orientated Hindi entertainment channel is gearing for many on-screen changes with a slew of new shows in the offing.

First up is the launch of a situational comedy meets celebrity chat show 'Ranvir, Vinay Aur... Kaun?', which is currently on air Monday – Thursday at 22:00.

Hosted by the hottest new talent to emerge from Bollywood – Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak – 'Ranvir, Vinay Aur...Kaun?' marks a wholly innovative milestone for the celebrity chat show genre, as viewers will be indulged with a candid look into the homes and day-to-day lives of their favourite celebrities. From preparing the tea, getting ready for a red carpet event, to dancing around the house and playing their favourite instruments, 'Ranvir, Vinay Aur... Kaun?' provides a fresh and fun alternative to conventional and formulaic celebrity chats show.

Combining an entertaining mix of celebrity interviews, comic performances and famous people with extraordinary stories, 'Ranvir, Vinay Aur... Kaun?' is also set in Vinay and Ranvir’s stylish bachelor apartment, visited daily by a new celebrity. The duo’s charming personalities and unique take on everyday life sets the tone for a relaxed environment in which their celebrity guests are put at ease, to engage in frank discussions that are at once, wild, whacky and often surprising.

The quirky Ranvir Shorey whose acting credits include 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects', 'Honeymoon Travels' and the forthcoming 'No Smoking', commented on the launch the new show, "Vinay and I have come a long way in doing shows together but this time it is much closer to our hearts. The best thing is that we feel completely at home with our show. We wear what we like, we speak what we like, so all the viewers will witness us in our REAL selves".

The cheeky Vinay Pathak, whose acting credits include 'Water', 'Johnny Gaddaar' and the forthcoming Madhuri comeback movie, 'Aaja Nachle', added,

"The best thing for me is the feel of home; it’s like Ranvir and me chatting with our friends. We have tried to make it as casual as that and we make each visit special for our friends."

There's also a carefree feel-good campus saga, 'Remix', broadcasting from 5th November, every Monday – Thursday at 21:30.

'Remix' is an engaging story, situated on the campus of Maurya High, that takes the viewer back to the carefree days of good old college life. Sharing a strong passion for music, friends 'Tia', 'Ranveer', 'Ashi' and 'Yuvi' form their own band, mixing the old with the new to create their own unique 'Remix'. Re-live the college days, with the trials and tribulations, highs and heartaches facing the young generation of 'Remix'.
