A Paresh Rawal produced drama is in the offing on Britain's newest Hindi entertainment channel Sahara One.

'Main Aisi Kyun Hoon' is being added to the channel's evening schedule later this month as a strategy to spruce up its already popular line-up.

The drama revolves around a 26-year-old girl brought up in a conservative middle class Maharashtrian family. Sanjana is hyper imaginative girl with modern outlook towards life. Her family is pressurizing her to get married but Sanjana is against it. Her life takes an unexpected twist when her childhood love Siddharth returns from US married. Nearing her 30s Sanjana refuses to let go her past and move on in life.

Sahara One programming head Kalyan Sundaram said, "This is our attempt to present our viewers with varied shades of entertaining storylines through our shows. With 'Biggest Loser' doing so well for the channel, I am confident about this one as well."

Paresh Rawal's Playtime Creations is behind 'Main Aisi Kyun Hoon', which also produced 'Shubh Mangal Savadhan' for the channel earlier.

The lead character of Sanjana is played by Nazneen Patel and Khalid Siddiqui will play Siddharth.

'Main Aisi Kyun Hoon' launches on Sahara One UK on Monday 22nd October.
