Report: SRK buys 10% stake in TV channel

SRK's company buys stake in TV channelBollywood's Shah Rukh Khan is said to have had bought a 10% stake in the yet to launch Indian TV channel BAG Glamour, according to reports.

The host of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' who also owns Red Chillies Pvt Limited will produce television content for the glamour and lifestyle channel, which is a subsidiary of BAG Films.

The Mumbai Mirror journal has reported that Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan agreed the deal three months ago.

"The Khans are very close to the Shukla family [BAG]. Besides the superstar expanding his production house he also has plans of producing TV serials too which he will also be providing the glamour channel," said a source to Mumbai Mirror.

Khan already has three companies which include Dreamz Unlimited, Red Chillies Entertainment and Archlightz. He has recently started a separate effects department and will taking up outside work too. Khan is already on the board of Jet Airways it will be for the first time the actor will be buying a stake in an entertainment company.

Notably, Shah Rukh Khan's industry friend Karan Johar (filmmaker) has also acquired a "minority stake" in NDTV's forthcoming entertainment channel.
