Its not just Sunrise Radio that has benefited from the 4 Digital Group national licence win, Club Asia too has secured a deal, which will allow the station to offer podcasts to its listeners.

As part of 4 Digital Group's commitment in providing an opportunity for niche services – catering for a diversity of passions, interests and communities, it will allow several broadcasters including Gaydar Radio, Financial Times, New Music Express, Prince’s Trust and Club Asia to offer regular podcasts to listeners living in the UK.

Details remain sketchy as to how and when the new service will be available.

At the moment, the BBC Asian Network remains the only Asian broadcaster to offer regular programme podcasts.

It was announced earlier today, Sunrise Radio will be available throughout the UK on DAB from next year.
