Asian channels launch on Sky face delays
Asian TV channels who have been readying the launch of their services on Sky Digital will be disappointed to hear that they will face delays due to reasons beyond Sky's control. Channels, which were gearing to launch in August and September will have to wait three-four months before appearing on the Sky EPG as BSkyB has reduced the channels it launches a week to two as opposed to four earlier. An EPG reshuffle is set to take place in the 'International' category of the Sky EPG, which will affect up and coming Asian TV channels. More on this on BizAsia.co.uk soon.

Geeta Basra special on ITV soon
Bollywood actress Geeta Basra will soon be interviewed for an ITV special show. In an interview for Indian publication D.N.A, Geeta said "I couldn’t believe my luck. They got in touch with my parents who are in the UK to request my appearance on their extremely popular morning show - it has had big names like Tom Cruise and Catherine Zeta Jones appearing on it. It’s a huge honour." The show in question is GMTV. Geeta who is from the UK was last seen in the box office dud 'The Train', which premiered at the IIFA film awards in June.

Jas The Man to leave Club Asia in August
Club Asia's breakfast presenter 'Jas The Man' is leaving the station early August to join the BBC Asian Network. As reported exclusively on BizAsia.co.uk a few weeks ago, the presenter will be following former Club Asia presenter Noreen Khan for work at the Beeb. He is expected to take on production work but he could also try his hand at presenting. Full details about his move are being kept closely guarded.

ZEE TV's 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' trouncing competition
