Sahara One's UK launch has moved a step closer with the commence of full video and audio testing, days ahead of its official launch on Sky Digital.
The India based channel currently stands behind STAR Plus, ZEE TV and Sony Entertainment Television Asia as India's number four channel.
Shows like 'Ghar Ek Sapno', 'Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki' and 'Solah Singaar' have consolidated the channel's position in the competitive market. Its latest reality show 'Biggest Loser' presented by Bollywood actor Suneil Shetty is also climbing up the popularity charts.
Sahara One's sister channel Filmy also began its official testing today. Both channels are currently broadcasting the US feeds.
With visual and audio testing in full swing, the channels official launch on Sky Digital could be as soon as next Monday (11th June), ahead of Sky Digital's EPG reshuffle, which takes place from Monday 18th June. We're awaiting full launch details from Sahara.
Testing for Sahara One can be viewed in the following way:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.222 (V), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight "53113" service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> "53113" should be listed and available
