UK based Channel Punjab has called off its plans to encrypt on Monday (25th June).

Sources within the industry have said the reason behind the decision could be down MATV’s news today, who confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it plans to launch a bouquet of Punjabi television channels "within weeks".

Even though Channel Punjab has not set a new encryption date, a tentative date of Monday 9th July has been penciled in.
