Venus TV has secured a software contract with two major entertainment channels in Pakistan.

The free-to-air channel Venus TV, will broadcast a whole selection of programming from Aaj TV and TV One. In the past, Venus TV has aired a number of programmes produced by Aaj TV including the popular import 'Begum Nawazish Ali'.

The deal today means that Venus TV will have wider access to shows from different genres like current affairs, documentaries, gameshows and dramas from Pakistan to bring to its viewers in the UK.

Last month, BizAsia.co.uk reported on a similar syndication programming deal between Venus TV and MTV Asia. Vijay Soni, VPS Communications Ltd, will act as the business partner for the MTV Asia content.

With the way things look at present, Venus TV will be able to target shows to young Asians through its MTV programmes and at the same time inform and entertain its Pakistani viewers with Aaj TV and One TV shows.

Venus TV has confirmed that its MTV Asia programming will commence early February and Aaj TV and One TV shows beginning mid-February.
