Sony TV to buy 50% stake in Ten Sports?

Sources at CNBC-TV18 suggest that Sony TV may have finalised a deal to pick up 50% in Dubai based sports channel, Ten Sports. The deal is believed to be worth between USD 55-60 million. As reported on BizAsia.co.uk earlier, Ten Sports is said to have been in talks with not just Sony but ZEE as well but valuation differences kept a deal from happening. Now sources say that top executives of Sony may fly to Dubai in the next few days to sign the deal. If the deal is done, Sony may also get the right to appoint a Chief Financial Officer at Ten Sports. However, Sony India CEO, Kunal Dasgupta denied any such deal.
