Sony's Rajan Singh denies "leaving" rumours

Rajan Singh staying put at SET AsiaRajan Singh, Executive Vice President for Sony Entertainment Television Asia's international business has spoken to Biz Asia about rumours circulating the industry that he is to quit.

The hearsay began when Singh announced he was to leave for India next week to work on other international businesses for Sony UK. However, Singh told Biz Asia that because he plans to stay in India for a two-month period (the longest since being with Sony), the rumours were inevitable.

With him categorically denying these rumours, Singh will return in July with a clearer vision on Sony UK's new addition later this year SAB TV. SAB TV is Sony's male orientated and comedy channel. The channel is looking at launching in the final quarter of 2006 on Sky Digital.

Rajan Singh has been with Sony Entertainment Television Asia for the past nine years.
