Exclusive: Kismat Radio goes live on Monday

The Lit Group's (formerly known as Sunrise Radio Group) Asian talk radio station Kismat is set to go live on Monday (28th February).

The 24-hour interactive radio station will give listeners a platform to air personal views on various issues involving the Asian community.

Presenters for Kismat Radio have not yet been confirmed but do expect a handful of Sunrise Radio presenters to switch. Rumours are already rife that the older presenters of Sunrise Radio will be moved to Kismat Radio in a bid to transform Sunrise Radio into a young station to compete directly with Club Asia.

As revealed a couple of weeks back by Biz Asia, the station is currently in the process of completing work on their new state-of-the-art studios. Kismat Radio has been using sister station Yarr Radio's studios for the past few weeks for test transmissions. This has resulted in Yarr Radio broadcasting without presenters and relying on computerised automation of a playlist.

Kismat Radio will begin broadcasting on Monday 28th February at 10:30am. The station will be available on Sky EPG 923 and through London on 1035AM.
